ChatGPT Ads Campaign Results Shared by Advertisers

Advertisers have started sharing results from campaigns they have run through ChatGPT Ads. The early outcomes are far from consistent.

ChatGPT Ads Campaign Results Shared by Advertisers

Some advertisers turned a small number of clicks into conversions and revenue. Others spent thousands without generating a conversion or struggled to spend their available budget.

These campaign reports reveal what happened beyond the impressions and clicks.

1. Factors.ai Generated 99,000 Impressions but No Opportunities

Factors.ai is a B2B marketing platform. It helps companies see which businesses visit their websites and interact with their marketing before contacting the sales team.

Campaign Setup

Factors.ai ran two campaigns for approximately three weeks. The first campaign promoted its own product. The second focused on people researching or comparing competing products.

The company did not publish its ads, context hints, landing pages, bids or individual campaign budgets.

Campaign Results

In a LinkedIn post published on August 4, 2026, Factors.ai reported:

  • The campaigns generated approximately 99,000 impressions
  • They received 387 clicks
  • The total spend was approximately $2,265
  • 86 ICP-fit accounts had their first touch attributed to ChatGPT Ads
  • Four accounts became marketing-qualified leads
  • One account became a sales-qualified lead
  • No sales opportunities were generated

What the Results Show

The ads brought businesses matching the company’s ideal customer profile into its marketing funnel. However, most of those businesses did not become qualified leads.

The campaign generated reach and website traffic, but it had not produced a sales opportunity when the results were published.

2. An Integration Service Campaign Spent CA$7,000 Without a Conversion

The advertiser promoted an integrations-as-a-service offer. This type of service helps businesses connect software platforms and move information between them.

Campaign Setup

The advertiser ran one focused ad group for a few weeks. The context provided for the ad group included details intended to reduce unrelated traffic.

A visitor-identification tool was also installed on the landing page. It had been running for approximately one week and was used to identify some of the companies arriving through paid clicks.

Campaign Results

In a LinkedIn post published on July 27, 2026, the advertiser reported:

  • The campaign spent approximately CA$7,000
  • The average CPC was CA$9.29
  • The average CPM was CA$64.34
  • The CTR was 0.7%
  • During the tool’s first week, 336 paid clicks reached the landing page
  • The identification tool recognized 146 organizations
  • Five organizations matched the advertiser’s ideal customer profile
  • No conversions were recorded

What the Results Show

The campaign brought people to the landing page, but most of the identified organizations did not match the advertiser’s intended customer profile.

The advertiser received traffic without generating a conversion. This result shows why B2B campaigns need to measure the companies behind the clicks and not only the number of visits.

3. A UK Campaign Generated Nine Conversions in Nine Days

A UK advertiser tested ChatGPT Ads for an offer aimed at business owners and decision-makers. The same offer was already being promoted through Google Search.

Campaign Setup

The campaign ran for nine days and targeted users across the UK. The advertiser expected that many intended customers might use paid ChatGPT plans and therefore might not see the ads.

The campaign was run as an early test rather than a large advertising programme.

Campaign Results

In a LinkedIn post published on August 7, 2026, the advertiser reported:

  • The campaign spent £156.96 over nine days
  • It generated 5,366 impressions
  • It received 59 clicks
  • The average CPC was £2.66
  • It produced nine conversions
  • The conversion rate was approximately 15%
  • The comparable Google Search campaign had a £2.46 average CPC

What the Results Show

The ChatGPT campaign paid slightly more for each click than the comparable Google campaign. However, the advertiser said the visitors converted at a higher rate for the same offer.

The result came from a small amount of traffic. A few additional conversions or unsuccessful clicks could have changed the reported conversion rate considerably.

4. A Lavender Ecommerce Store Reported a 5.53× ROAS

This advertiser runs an ecommerce store that sells lavender products. The campaign was created to bring shoppers directly to one product page.

Campaign Setup

All visitors were sent to the same product-detail page. The advertiser also tested different versions of the ad copy.

The best-performing variation used a direct first-person message. The post did not publish the complete advertisement or the campaign’s total spend.

Campaign Results

In a LinkedIn post published on June 1, 2026, the ecommerce advertiser reported:

  • The campaign generated a 5.53× return on ad spend
  • The average CPC was $1.83
  • The average CTR was 1.75%
  • One large order contributed heavily to the reported return
  • The results covered the first week of testing

What the Results Show

The campaign produced revenue and reported a positive return during its first week. However, much of that return came from one unusually large purchase.

The advertiser expected the ROAS to remain highly variable because the campaign was operating at a small scale and one large order had significantly increased the reported return.

5. A B2B Campaign Spent Only $34.89 in Ten Days

The advertiser wanted to test whether ChatGPT Ads could reach B2B buyers while they researched business problems and possible solutions.

Campaign Setup

The campaign used nine ad groups. Its combined daily budget was $33, while the planned monthly budget was $1,000.

The advertiser also surveyed SaaS marketers to understand how the audience was split between ad-supported and ad-free ChatGPT plans.

Campaign Results

In a LinkedIn post published on June 15, 2026, the advertiser reported:

  • The campaign spent only $34.89 in ten days
  • It generated ten clicks
  • It contained nine ad groups
  • The combined daily budget was $33
  • The planned monthly budget was $1,000
  • The survey included 100 SaaS marketers
  • 74% of survey respondents said they used paid ChatGPT plans

What the Results Show

The campaign had enough available budget, but it did not receive enough delivery to spend most of it.

The advertiser interpreted the survey as a sign that many people in the intended professional audience might have been using plans that did not show ads. However, the survey covered only 100 SaaS marketers and does not represent the entire ChatGPT audience.

What the Five Campaigns Show

Results Varied by Campaign

The ecommerce campaign and UK campaign generated measurable sales or conversions. The B2B campaigns had more difficulty turning traffic into suitable leads and sales opportunities.

The available reports do not prove that one type of business will always perform better than another. Each campaign used a different offer, budget and setup.

Clicks Did Not Always Produce Business Results

Several advertisers received clicks without generating the same level of qualified leads or conversions.

Advertisers need to track what visitors do after leaving ChatGPT. Website visits should be connected with forms, purchases, qualified leads and sales opportunities.

Early Results Can Change Quickly

Most of these campaigns ran for a short period or used a limited budget. Small samples can change sharply when a campaign receives more clicks and conversions.

Businesses should collect enough data before increasing their budget or treating an early result as a reliable benchmark.
